That was truly awesome. Might I recommend you use cerakote paint. I would use the dry cure. It has a great abrasion resistance and can withstand temps of 1,700 degrees fahrenheit. Great job on the build. 😎

HI I am a long time subscriber and just got a hydraulic pump and reservoir. I think it came off of a forklift, the oil reservoir looks to be about 8 quarts. I am hoping you can allow me to send some pics of the unit and see if I can get some advice on setting up a forging press for knife making (Damascus Steel) I would appreciate your help.

My only comment is the bearing that you pulled on. Your not supposed to pull or push on the outside of the bearing. When I was in the Navy and worked at Electric Boat. We were required to push on the inside race of the bearing if the inner race of the bearing was being pressed fitted; or push on the outside race if was the outside race was press fitted. Your tool and your work is bad ass.

just saw this now and something struck me, where does the oil go that is trapped in the opposite end of the cylinder to the end you are using, do you have a return hose going to pump.

мне удлинители на лапки не по нраву ,так как вероятность сорвать резьбу на удлинённых лапках 80% , смысл ? Можно было просто лапки разной длинны сделать и менять полностью на нужную длину .Да такой "универсальный "инструмент только послужит геморроем обладателю , то резьбу сорвёт ,то сломается ....
