Well at least it works somewhat. You do need to filter the fluid. Best practice is to have a 5 micron filter on the return from the valve to the tank. They are quite inexpensive, and will save the system when maintained.

Wow, this is amazing, But I don't think it's a good idea to run a hydraulic pump on a belt, it's better to use a direct coupling instead.

You need to put a "CAUTION" sticker on those welds, so someone doesn't rip their clothes, or skin on them! That thing barely has enough power to extend and retract a ram with no load on it...lmao...Sounds like the rods are knocking in it also.

Never really understood why that the 12v DC units were so cheap (you can buy them from $220 up to about $400 all day long), but you go go buy a 7-hp gas engine one (where that engine is only $100 on Harbor Freight) and you're now talking $1,100 or more... Good build on what would otherwise set you back $1,100 or even more!

Awesome work! I'd suggest adding either a heavy flywheel to the engine, or making a pulley for the engine with a large, heavy flange on it - this way you add mass for inertia to that lawnmower engine that no longer has the benefit of a steel blade to add that inertia. Your engine will run better for it.
